Ex Paiwen FC crowned football champions

RANAU: The Ex Paiwen FC football team emerged victorious in the Mukim Lohan-Bongkud Closed Sports Carnival organised by Wiramuda and Wiranita StarSabah N38 Paginatan together with Kg Lohan Youth which was held here recently.
In the competition, the Dalamas FT football team emerged as runners-up, while the Lohan FT and Bonama FC teams took third and fourth place respectively.
ADVERTISEMENT The sports carnival, which also included several other competition events, was officiated by the Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister of Sabah and the N38 Paginatan Assemblyman Datuk Abidin Madingkir.
In the same programme, the netball competition was won by the Querencia team, with Power Pop Girl team in second place, while the third and fourth places were won by the Jaguar and Fortissimo teams respectively.
As for the men’s volleyball competition, KRVT team emerged champions and the Lohan Viking team runners-up, while the third and fourth place went to the Tornado Pahu and Piket VT teams respectively.
The women’s volleyball event was won by AUCH VT team, the runners-up Sapera team followed by Monsiawan FC and Misfit teams in third and fourth place.

The carnival also included a sling-shot event and the Lohan Bongkud Sports Carnival colouring competition.
In his speech, Abidin congratulated the organisers and all the participants who took part in the successful programme.

He added, the organisation of sports activities like this can certainly strengthen the friendship between the participants.
Also present were PPM N38 Paginatan Hisyamudin Harun, Assemblyman’s Special Officer Juis Konsuling, Head of Wiranita Siti Nurjana Abas, Head of Wiramuda Hillary Salmoen and local leaders.
