Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) will be organising a blood donation drive at the ITCC Shopping Mall in Penampang on Sept 22.
Held in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Blood Bank Unit, it aims to collect between 100 and 150 pints of blood on that day.

This event is KKJA’s third. The first two, held at Centre Point shopping centre’s Palm Square, received encouraging response.
He said that by doing this, the association is allowing the community to help one another while also giving back to the community.
“Blood banks are constantly in need of supplies to assist patients who require blood transfusions due to accidents, operations, births and other circumstances.

“Since the community has helped us in the media industry for so long we feel that conducting a blood drive to save lives is one way to show our appreciation,” he said.
Over a hundred packets of goodie bags await donors on that day (first come first serve).
