Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Meteorological Department Director Amirzudi Hashim has refuted recent claims circulating on social media about an imminent tropical cyclone threat to Malaysia.
He said this in response to an inquiry from Daily Express regarding Typhoon Yagi and its potential impact on the coastal regions of Peninsular Malaysia's eastern seaboard, Sabah, and Sarawak.

Millions of people across Southeast Asia struggled Thursday with flooded homes, power cuts and wrecked infrastructure after Typhoon Yagi swept through the region, as the death toll passed 200, according to AFP.
