Huge drop in support for Warisan in Kudat: YB

KUDAT: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Tanjong Kapor pledged to be fair in power sharing and political appointments among component parties of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) here.
“I promise to also look after the interests and welfare of all the component parties in Kudat, apart from my division.
ADVERTISEMENT “Political appointments will be divided based on talent and qualifications. There are party leaders here who are more knowledgeable and experienced than me. This kind of healthy spirit will be the pillar of our strength in the coming 17th State Election. ‘United we are strong, Divided we fall.”
“There was a huge drop in Warisan (opposition party) members here when I left the party (Warisan), in February, last year. Many followed me. There aren’t many left in Warisan division in Tanjong Kapor.
“Of 33,000 voters in Tanjong Kapor, youths comprise more than 50 per cent.
He was speaking at the annual meeting Gagasan Rakyat Tanjong Kapor officiated by Vice-President Datuk Masiung Banah at Tun Mustapha hall, here.

Some 600 delegates of Gagasan Rakyat Tanjong Kapor and party leaders or representatives of GRS component parties in the event here.
Ben also received 289 new membership forms from Kimihang Laut, Tai Cheong 1, Pinorat Darat, Tampakan, Tai Cheong, Landung Ayang Jambatan 5 and Sungai Kapit 1.

He has been the elected representative here for six.
He said whoever is picked by the party leadership to contest would receive full support.
“It is okay to debate and argue, but don’t stab from behind,” he said Gagasan Rakyat Tanjong Kapor has about 10,000 members and 150 branches.
