Man fined RM5,000
The offence under Section 55E(1) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 which carries a jail term of up to a year, or a fine of between RM5,000 and RM30,000, or both, for each of illegal immigrant involved.
Kota Kinabalu: A 39-old man was fined a total of RM5,000 or six months’ jail for allowing an illegal immigrant  to be in the premises under his control.

Razis Said pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Hurman Hussain to the charge against him.

Razis  was found permitting the 41-year-old Filipino, who did not have any document, to be in the New Borneo Family Reflexology, in Ruang  Warisan Square, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, here.

The offence took place at 10.10pm on June 6. 

The charge stated that Razis was the person who controlled the premises.

Prosecuting Officer Abu Sopian Karate from the Immigration Department appeared for the prosecution.
