KUDAT: Some 71 students here who have been offered places in local universities will soon be assisted through a State Government educational aid known as Budi (Higher Learning Institute Registration Cash Assistance) amounting to RM2,000 per student.
Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman Chong Chen Bin @ Ben Chong said Budi is a one-off cash assistance for higher education.
He said the students have applied for Budi via online, set up under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor to provide financial relief to parents when students begin their higher education journey.
