Kota Kinabalu: A recent Facebook post has drawn attention to low-quality but expensive pre-packaged sandwiches sold at a petrol station in Kuala Lumpur.
Netizen Nazri Ahmad shared his frustration after purchasing the "Golden Chicken with Crispy Cheese" that turned out to contain little more than lettuce and sauce between two slices of bread.
He said it is better to just market it as an empty sandwich.
“Or if you want, make it a scam content. Or it is better to make the sandwich smaller,” he said, feeling misled by the product’s description.
“My child said, ‘It’s so easy to make money these days’,” he added, reflecting the sense of disappointment with the sandwich, priced at RM5.30.
The post caught the attention of netizens who went to the comments section to voice their opinions.
“We want to support local businesses, but how can we when the quality is like this?” said Facebook user Megi AndCo.
“Had to rebrand and put the name ‘sandwich [for] scam’,” said netizen Nur Hidayah.
