 Sabah Fire and Rescue Department: 20 cases of fallen trees
Two men escaped unharmed after a falling tree crushed the Ford Ranger they were in at the State Printing Department.
Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received a total of 20 emergency calls regarding fallen tree incidents in several districts since Monday.

State JBPM Operations Centre said the first call was received at 8am on Monday, with the total number of calls reaching 20 as at 11am Tuesday.

“The incidents are believed to have been caused by strong winds, heavy rain and unpredictable weather.

“No casualties have been reported, and updates will be provided from time to time,” it said in a statement.

It said four cases each were reported in Kota Belud and Lintas, three cases each in Penampang and Kudat, two cases in Kota Kinabalu, and one case each in Tuaran, Tenom, Sook and Tawau.
