Mustapha also said Keadilan is the only national party to uphold the importance of MA63 in building a fair nation.
Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud said it is important to recognise the struggle and continuous efforts of past and present leaders to fulfil the rights of Sabah and Sarawak enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

He said Malaysia Day which commemorates the merger of Sabah, Sarawak and Malaya to form Malaysia on Sept 16, 1963 has also become a symbol of unity, harmony and commitment in uplifting the dignity and well-being of all Malaysians.

Among the important achievements is the regulatory power on Sabah’s electricity supply and special guidelines for the return of reserve land for Federal purposes in Sabah and Sarawak.

He also said Keadilan is the only national party to uphold the importance of MA63 in building a fair nation.

“As Prime Minister and President of Keadilan, Anwar will definitely ensure that the demands of MA63 are implemented best as possible, with the agreement of friends in the Unity Government, in line with the spirit of cooperation and fair power-sharing between Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia,” he said.
