CSX Holdings and Pinstay Launch Pinstay Plus to Revolutionize Sabah's Tourism Industry

Kota Kinabalu: CSX Holdings, a Taiwan-based prop-tech company, has partnered with local professional homestay management company Pinstay to establish Pinstay Plus.
This new venture aims to make a significant impact on Sabah's tourism industry by offering premium, comprehensive and customised travel packages, providing exclusive experiences for both domestic and international tourists visiting Sabah.
ADVERTISEMENT CSX Holdings, which is founded by Charles Tsao and its Managing Director Anson Ng, is a company that excels in real estate investment and is dedicated to developing a digital booking platform.
Charles Tsao, Chairman of CSX Holdings, stated that the company owns various types of real estate in Sabah, including luxury apartments, duplexes, landed houses, and resorts, all managed with advanced technology.
The decision to entrust the short-term rental segment to Pinstay for professional management marks a strategic move.
Lion Wong, Managing Director of Pinstay, mentioned that the company, established in Kota Kinabalu four years ago, currently manages over 200 rooms and has accumulated extensive experience in homestay management.

It is expected that the number of rooms under management will increase to 400 by next year.
Today, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the CSX Holdings conference room in Plaza Shell, establishing Pinstay Plus.

The managed homestay rooms are located in Sutera Bay and Bay Suites in Kota Kinabalu.
Lion Wong emphasized that, with years of experience in the tourism accommodation industry, he understands the needs of tourists.
In addition to traditional accommodation services, Pinstay Plus will offer more value-added services, creating a comprehensive package that not only provides convenience to tourists but also offers exclusive services to their esteem guests.
Lion Wong stated, "Unlike typical homestay operators who only hand over keys, clean, and collect payments, Pinstay Plus will offer more premium and customised services.
Our meticulously designed comprehensive package includes introducing local tourist attractions, arranging guides, organizing transportation, providing discount vouchers, and recommending local authentic cuisine, ensuring tourists have a convenient and enjoyable experience without any hassle."
Pinstay Plus will also collaborate with a premium gift & hamper vendor to customise exclusive merchandise for Pinstay Plus which is an initiative not only to enhance the guests experiences but also generates multiple income streams, thereby increasing profitability for their investors and property owners.
Additionally, Pinstay Plus also provide door to door delivery service for guests from Sabah to their origin home country through the collaboration with “SF Express” showcasing its creative and diverse one-stop service.
Lion Wong highlighted that the 50 rooms currently operated by the company in Sutera Bay feature an AI Home system, enhancing daily convenience and efficiency by integrating hotel and homestay services, which has been well-received by tourists.
He revealed that the company signed an MoU with a Chinese travel agency in July this year. Starting from January next year, there will be two charter flights per week directly to Kota Kinabalu, each carrying at least 110 tourists.
All charter groups will use Pinstay Plus accommodation services, increasing the occupancy rate and room rates of the company's managed rooms.
Marketing Director of Hyweb Michael Tsao
Michael Tsao, Marketing Director of Hyweb, announced that Hyweb will launch its self-developed mobile application Zuba in November this year.
Zuba is a short-term rental platform and can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store that allows the travellers to search for and book accommodations with just a few taps on their phones, offering free vouchers to Zuba guests.
With confidence, he assured Zuba will strongly support Pinstay Plus. "We have partnered with 26 local merchants in F&B, the spa, the bar and other relevant businesses to be part of Zuba where all merchants will offer generous amount of discounts and vouchers to Zuba users” Michael cited.
Charles Tsao expressed confidence in the future of Sabah's tourism industry, stating that the company will continue to invest significantly in Sabah's tourism accommodation sector, driving the industry to new heights.
He also invited Sabah property owners who wish to participate in the homestay business to consider using the company's professional services.
The team will provide a premium comprehensive management and maintenance, allowing owners to earn income with peace of mind.
