PENAMPANG: A total of 2,888 plastic bottle caps were used to create a large-scale Sabah Flag at SK Penampang, in conjunction with National Month and Sabah Day.
Coordinator of the National Month Programme, Felicia Joseph Kulip, said initiative, led by SK Penampang’s Environmental Club, aimed to recycle used and readily available materials at minimal cost.

The club’s chief advisor Cikgu Rasiah Taguah @ Tagnah said the project also aimed to educate students about reducing single-use plastics and to foster creativity by demonstrating how recycled materials can be used again.
Headmaster Puan Rohani binti Ibrahim praised the initiative, emphasising its positive impact not only on the students but also on the collaboration between teachers and school staff in producing the flag.
