More sons of Global Ikhwan chairman, late Al-Arqam founder arrested

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the latest raids were carried out in Temerloh, Pahang; Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan; and Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan.
PETALING JAYA: Another son of Nasiruddin Ali, the chairman and CEO of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH), has been arrested by police.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said another son of the late founder of the banned Al-Arqam sect, Ashaari Mohammad, was also arrested early this morning, Harian Metro reported.
ADVERTISEMENT Razarudin said the duo, both 32, were among seven detained following raids on four locations in Temerloh, Pahang; Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan; and Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan, from 11pm yesterday to 4am today.
“The detainees, aged between 32 and 35, are all members of GISBH’s Remaja Pembela Ummah group.
"They were arrested to assist in the investigation under Section 12 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants (Amendment) Act 2022," he said.
Yesterday, police obtained a seven-day remand order against 19 members of the company’s top management, including Nasiruddin.

The 19, including seven women aged between 25 and 65, will be remanded until Sept 25.
Among them were the sons (one each) of Nasiruddin and Ashaari.
