Kota Kinabalu: Tawau's flash floods disrupted traffic on major roads and in the town's low-lying areas on Friday.
A post in Facebook group 8hannels at 3.47pm urged road users to exercise caution as some roads had become submerged.
ADVERTISEMENT “Some sections of the road are no longer passable, so drivers are advised to take temporary detours,” the post said.
Photos accompanying the post show vehicles driving through waterlogged streets.
In one of the images, traffic can be seen slowly moving along a flooded road as workers attempt to manage the situation.
Fortunately, at 4.34 pm, the Facebook page informed in the comments section that the floodwaters had receded.
