Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s young athletes made Malaysia proud at the Muaythai Youth World Championships 2024 in Bangkok from September 11 to 20, bringing home an impressive tally of two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

Jenna Sheryca Dyna Aby Jasli, an SMK Bandau student, was elated with her gold medal in the Junior 14-15 Female Wai Kru category, saying her family played a pivotal role in her journey.

“When I first started Muaythai, it was thanks to my sister, Quenny’s inspiration,” she told Daily Express.

She said she developed a strong passion for Wai Kru as she delved deeper into the martial art.
