Foodpanda Malaysia celebrates delivery partners in KK

Kota Kinabalu: Foodpanda Malaysia brought its ‘Panda Jelajah Borneo’ campaign to Sabah, celebrating the rich heritage and culture of the region.

Led by Shubham Saran, Director of Operations at foodpanda Malaysia, the event highlighted foodpanda’s commitment to engaging with local communities and supporting their traditions through activities that resonate with Sabah’s unique cultural identity.

In line with the event’s objective to honor local culture, attendees were treated to an immersive experience with traditional games and cultural performances.

These activities aimed to foster a deeper connection between the foodpanda community, reinforcing the company’s dedication to embracing and supporting local customs and traditions.

The event also aimed to strengthen foodpanda’s brand presence within the Sabah region, offering the local audience a closer look at the company’s services

foodpanda shared the Go Gigger Financial Literacy Program by AKPK locally, aimed at empowering gig workers with essential financial skills and knowledge.

This program provides valuable insights into budgeting, saving, and effectively managing finances in the gig economy.

Delivery partners could also learn more about the i-Saraan package by EPF which  showcases the importance of saving  their retirement through flexible contributions, ensuring their financial stability in the future.

 Attendees explored the special installment plan by Courts Malaysia, which offers accessible financing options for purchasing essential household items.

This initiative aims to ease the financial burden for families, making it easier for them to acquire necessary goods.

There were also special engagement opportunities with Ikhlas.com, providing participants with the opportunity to win an Umrah trip as part of the lucky draw.

As well as the International College of Management and Sports booth where delivery partners could explore upskilling and reskilling opportunities.

At the event, Mix Alun Jokian, 26, was awarded a full RM10,000 scholarship from the International College of Management and Sports (ICMS).

Rahman bin Ramle, 43, received an all-expenses-paid Umrah trip from ikhlas.com, with foodpanda sponsoring his family to accompany him on the pilgrimage.

The event demonstrated the panda hearts programme which is foodpanda’s flagship programme aimed at uplifting and supporting delivery partners in five core areas – well-being, personal development, safety, community and welfare perks.

This program reflects foodpanda’s commitment to supporting the well-being and professional growth of its delivery partners, ensuring they have access to resources that enhance their quality of life.

Various  activities delivery partners were also part of the day’s agenda, encouraging camaraderie and a deeper understanding of the local market.
