Tourist’s body recovered with backpack containing bricks in Semporna
The victim's body was found near the location where he was reported missing.
SEMPORNA: The body of a Chinese tourist, who allegedly jumped into the sea, was discovered off the waters of Pulau Mabul, here, on Friday.

District Police Chief Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol said the Semporna Police Headquarters received information at 11.33am regarding the missing tourist, who reportedly jumped into the water.

A search operation was launched by the Semporna Marine Police Force with assistance from divers at nearby resorts, leading to the recovery of the victim's body.

The victim was found at a depth of 17 metres with a grey backpack containing three bricks still on his back, according to Mohd Sabri.
