Kota Kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will mobilise its machinery in all State Legislative Assembly areas to identify the poor and hardcore poor to ensure that no eligible recipients are left out from benefiting from the Sentuhan Kasih Rakyat (Syukur) 2025 programme.
GRS Executive Secretary, Datuk Mohd Razali Mohd Razi, said the compiled list of names would be submitted to the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Secretariat, which is responsible for coordinating the programme’s implementation.

“The mechanism for the Syukur programme has been approved by the State Cabinet and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor issued instructions for the immediate rollout of the programme’s assistance last Wednesday.
“Under this programme, eligible heads of household who are classified as poor or hardcore poor in Sabah will receive monthly aid of RM300, which will be implemented quarterly,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
Syukur is part of the Sabah State Government’s initiative to ease the cost of living for its people and serves as an additional measure alongside federal cash assistance programmes such as the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara).
