TAMBUNAN: SMK Nambayan emerged as the overall champions of the district-level Cross-Country Championship held at SMK Tambunan here.
Second place was won by SMK Tambunan while third and fourth places were won by SMK Desa Wawasan and SM St Martin respectively.
A total of 128 students from four secondary schools participated in the Championship. The five winners from each category of boys and girls under 18 years old and boys and girls under 15 years old will be selected to represent this district at the state-level Cross-Country Championship to be held in Telupid district in April this year.
In the boys under 18 years old category, Heddon Tangar from SMK Nambayan emerged as the champion followed by Ivan Fabian (SM Martin) in second place and Jessen Jupirin (SMK Desa Wawasan) in third. Hendyson Felix (SMK Tambunan) and Ryan Rajis (SMK Desa Wawasan) were fourth and fifth respectively.
