KUALA LUMPUR: A Taoist temple in Johor, has introduced what it claims to be the world’s first AI-powered Mazu statue that interacts with worshippers and answers their doubts,
SCMP reported.
The Tianhou Temple unveiled a video showing devotees engaging with the digital deity, portrayed as a beautiful woman resembling a chubbier version of Chinese actress Liu Yifei.
Developed by Malaysian tech company Aimazin, the AI Mazu offers blessings, interprets fortune sticks, and provides advice in a calm and tender voice.
Released ahead of the sea goddess’s 1,065th birthday on April 20, the AI Mazu has drawn positive responses online, with many requesting her blessings.
Mazu, originally a mortal named Lin Mo from Fujian, China, is widely worshipped among Chinese communities worldwide as a revered protector of seafarers.
