KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia was hospitalised and underwent surgery on Sunday morning after collapsing from suspected work-related fatigue, resulting in injuries to her chin and mouth,
Sin Chew Daily reported.
At approximately 3am on Sunday, Chia shared photos from her hospital bed on her
Facebook page, apologising to fans and attributing the incident to exhaustion.
Her manager confirmed that Chia had been under significant stress from work and business obligations, leading to the collapse and subsequent injuries.
Chia's 15-year-old son discovered her unconscious around midnight and, alarmed by the situation, contacted her manager, who then arranged for her hospitalisation and surgery at 10am.
This was the second time Chia had collapsed due to fatigue. In July 2023, she fainted on a staircase, sustaining a head injury that required stitches.
