762 karatekas to take part in championship

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 762 athletes throughout the country will be taking part in the 43rd senior and 33rd Under-14, Cadet and Junior Karate Championship to be held here at the Penampang Cultural hall starting on May 13 until May 18.

Sabah Karate Association president Datuk Jake Nointin was impressed with the large number of competitors.

“We are honoured to welcome all the participants here in Kota Kinabalu, where we will continue to uphold the spirit of brotherhood in karate. 

“As we move forward, we entrust each of them with the responsibility of carrying the values of discipline, respect and perseverance that define our journey.
