KOTA KINABALU: Cooperation between Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) coalition for the upcoming state election remains possible, with both sides open to talks.
Sabah PKR chief Datuk Mustapha Sakmud (pic) said the formalisation of the PH-BN pact is welcomed but stressed the importance of giving local parties room to lead.

He acknowledged GRS’s desire to head the state government and said PH respects this aspiration.
Mustapha also assured that Sabah PH has been included in all decisions made at the federal level and stressed avoiding any split in votes.
This event coincides with its proposed listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities"), scheduled for 30 April 2025.
He noted that a discussion opportunity between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor will arise during an event in Tawau on May 11.
