KOTA KINABALU: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) prioritises public service over personal promotion, said Bukit Aman Special Branch Deputy Director I Datuk Ahmad Ramdzan Daud.
He reminded that police officers serve the community as a whole and are not to use social media platforms such as
TikTok Live or
Facebook for self-promotion while on duty.
Ahmad Ramdzan made the remarks during the passing out parade for 200 recruits of the Police Basic Training Programme (PLAK) Constable Batch 78 Series 5/2025 at the Kota Kinabalu Police Training Centre (Pulapol KK).
Outstanding trainees were recognised during the event, including Andy Brondonly Sebau Jarup (Best Overall Trainee), Mohd Ridzuan Hasan (Best Academic), and Endy Nyepa (Best Physical Training), alongside veteran instructors Stephen Sapah and Jameus Juanis.
He urged the new constables to uphold discipline, integrity, and continuous learning, adding that the six-month training included policing knowledge, firearms, self-defence, law, and ethics under three core modules.
