TAMPARULI: A 41-year-old female teacher was found dead with injuries at a house in Kampung Tenghilan here on Saturday.

Police detained her 47-year-old brother on the same day to assist in the murder investigation.

The suspect is believed to have a history of mental health issues and previously received treatment at a medical facility.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment of 30 to 40 years and whipping upon conviction.
