Not many donating to animal welfare groups

MANY people donate to popular charities – but very few donate towards animal welfare where it is needed most!

Many welfare organisations get financial aid from the government; however, sad to say that animal welfare groups do not get a single cent from the government and we rely solely on the generosity of animal lovers and like-minded donors.

However, we decided to approach this gentleman and to our happy surprise he donated RM10,000 to help an animal shelter.

The Shelter of Hope (SOH), as we explained to him, why SOH needed the help so much. The owner of SOH runs the shelter single-handedly and it floods up to 7’ or more during heavy, continuous rains and the shelter has around 60-80 dogs and over 150 cats!

This gentlemen who shall remain anonymous gave willingly and happily and did not want his name to be revealed etc and we know for a fact that he also donates to other needy charities.

However, we were so pleasantly surprised when he agreed almost instantly to donate towards animal welfare as most people do not help animal welfare.

Animal welfare needs a lot of financial help as human beings are dumping more and more animals for whatever reason and shelters are running in top gear to feed them and house them to give them a sense of security and it is very costly.

The government does not even allocate RM1,000 towards them or any land, to use as a shelter. As such we were very grateful (and delighted indeed) when we received this donation from this wonderfully kind gentleman.

It has helped the shelter so much and at the same time we also found a contractor, an avid animal lover, who was willing to do the work at no profit. We felt so privileged, lucky and blessed! Thank you kind donor and contractor!

So please remember that animal NGOs and shelters receive no help and rely solely on the generosity of animal lovers for their funding.
