Selfishness behind rise in animal dumping cases

HUMANS, do you know that you are bringing the downfall of the world and creating all the troubles and problems on this beautiful earth?

It is common for pet owners to abandon their pet(s) when they feel like it. Humans think it is alright to abandon the dog/cat in an area where there are food shops/feeders etc but do they know there are other dogs there already and the newcomer will have to fight for its place and life, for that matter?  And shelter? It’s not like there’s a sign that says “Welcome! Free accommodation for abandoned dogs/cats”.

Some are just selfish, thoughtless, wicked, cruel and heartless; not only to animals but to other human beings as well. Just take a look at our sad world; all human-caused! It’s a known fact too that humans dump newborns; kittens/puppies some with eyes barely open including human babies, and let these innocents suffer the consequences come what may, rather than spend the money to do the right thing which is to neuter your pet as soon as it is of age. (Please contact an animal NGO for a better price if you have more than one pet).

Unless we humans change our ways to respect animals and each other, and the world as a general rule, the world will never be a good place and bad things will just continue happening again and again and again.  Some humans are full of greed and only care about what they can get out of it for themselves, never mind the consequences!

Psychopaths poison animals without a second thought and the government does nothing to help at all. No proper laws are enforced for the safety of these poor innocent animals, even though there are laws in the Animal Welfare Enactment to protect them. What’s the point of having an Animal Welfare Enactment if the laws are not enforced?   At the same time DBKK should punish human offenders and not the animals as this would make the animal suffer and the human happy. By confiscating the dog it would only please the human who will likely rush out and get another dog and repeat the whole cycle again and again.

Fine animal offenders heavily; hit them where it hurts or lessons will never be learned by humans! Complete waste of time confiscating the pets!

If DBKK/Jabatan Haiwan are short staffed they can always call upon the animal NGOs to help with checking dog licences, caging etc. We need to speak out for the animals as they cannot speak for themselves.

Many pet owners allow their pets to wander out of their home compounds to pee/poop so the human’s compound is kept clean and these humans think dogs/cats have no feelings at all for they are just left out in the rain and not allowed to come in. How heartless is a human?

For these humans it is alright to chain/cage. Humans often play the victim card and blame an innocent stray dog when it retaliates to the human’s bad behaviour!

Please do not forget these strays already live a sad life and are always blamed even when it isn’t their fault! If one has been treated badly all its life they would not know any other behaviour. Strays retaliate for survival.  A dog’s temperament is based on the neighbourhood it lives in. If it is a neighbourhood that cares for dogs then the dog will not “attack” as claimed by the human. Reverse the situation: if you have been brought up surrounded by hate and violence, you would know no other behaviour.

As such an innocent stray who has grown up amongst hate and fear would know no other feelings and only know that humans have bad intentions.

Humans would even spread false rumours about the dog to justify himself and do/say anything to get rid of it. Please have a heart; change this attitude and make it a better place for the future generations of the world, for both animals and humans.

Hopefully they can all live in harmony with each other and coexist in a peaceful beautiful serene world. The world will be a much better place then if there is respect for each other! If we continue with our selfish ways the world will never improve and we can all look forward to a bleak future filled with even more sadness and misery!

Starting today, let’s together make this world better! I
