Kota Kinabalu: A Sarawak deputy minister reportedly said that the Petroleum Development Act (PDA) 1974, like all laws, remains subordinate to the Federal Constitution.
KUCHING: The Petroleum Development Act (PDA) 1974 vesting all hydrocarbon resources under Petronas does not extinguish Sarawak’s constitutional right to control its land from which these oil and gas are extracted.
Kota Kinabalu: Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Harris Salleh said late Tun Fuad Stephens supported the Petroleum Development Act (PDA) which decreed 5pc royalty for oil and gas extracted from Sabah because he believed it will usher more federal funds for Sabah’s development.
