BEAUFORT: Pak Rasit Recreation and Extreme Park in Kampung Kubu is now open to the public and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who wish to appreciate its beauty along Jalan Limbawang to Menumbok.

“It’s located 6km from the town and accessible via the Limbawang bypass road to Menumbok,” said Park Manager, Rasid Rosmin, when contacted, on Tuesday.

He said visitors can engage in archery activities and tree climbing with a rope, guided by a qualified trainer.

In addition, the park offers ATV motorbikes for rent at a rate of RM15 for fifteen minutes, and tent rentals are available at RM10 for a night.

Rashid extended an invitation to school students, volunteer and uniformed teams and the public to enjoy the recreational park, as camping facilities are available.

“School groups such as the police cadet, fire cadet, scouts and St. John Ambulance can participate in extracurricular activities here. The flat terrain facilitates overnight camping activities in the park,” said Rashid.

Furthermore, the park, spanning three acres, is conveniently located near the road in Kampung Kubu. It offers public toilets and changing facilities, along with two lodgings.

The park also provides fishing activities in the pond and along the river for those interested in fishing. There are coffee stalls, along with local rabbit and bird gardens suitable for family weekend outings.

This park has received a Certificate of Park Approval, allowing it for visits. For more information, contact Rashid Rosmin at 010-5601958.
