With newly-installed President Jefery leading the organisation, their goal this year would be based on this year’s theme ‘Beyond Limits’, which is focuses on four principles; Lead, Motivate, Transform and Sustainable.

Jefery said JCI provides opportunities to members to lead and learn new skills within and beyond JCI platform and also motivate others to create positive change to themselves. “We intend to accomplish this with hope that they could transform JCI Labuan to another level and eventually bring more sustainable projects to the community,” he said.

Meanwhile, organising chairperson cum JCI Labuan’s commission director Andrea Foo highlighted that a portion of the proceeds from the IAB’s ticket sales will be donated to PPKI (Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi) SMK Lajau.

JCI Labuan was founded by a group of young and dynamic individuals. Back then, they came from various professional backgrounds, ranging from government employees, business owners, airline staff, and shipbuilding personnel.

However they all shared common goals. They all wanted, to become better individuals in society, and contribute actively, to the development of their community, through JCI which is a platform that offers them the skills and most importantly the grand opportunity to do so.

The non-profit organisation strives for youth development in Labuan and believes in providing development opportunities to young people to create positive change. JCI’s vision is to be the leading global network of active citizens.
