Tambunan Unduk Ngadau on May 15

TAMBUNAN: 15 finalists will vie for the district-level Unduk Ngadau title at Pisompuruan Square, here, on May 15.They will all dress up in creative ethnic clothes designed by their respective designers, said organising Chairperson, Jayne Justin here, Sunday.
The Unduk Ngadau finalists are Richelle Xaviera Sonny, Meg Adeline Vanessa Cletus, Neldreana Saipun, Delvia Rachel Damianus, Franriana Frederick, Caroline Edwin, Janeveralenne Marcel, Sharmila Bala Chandran Otigil, Jellcy Hilarius, Phoebe Walter,Karen Daisy Delaila Vincent, Chrizsha Delyn Ng, Sherra Shellalis Willis, Affable Ernest Florentius and Rina Joyce Dilliam.

Meanwhile, the district Chairman of Sugandoi Kaamatan Competition, Sheldon Japil, said a total of 42 participants signed up for Sugandoi competition.
“All ten finalists in this competition will sing their compulsory medley songs and their choice. They will be accompanied by a band, “he said.
Sheldon said, the finalists included Sharul, Elvie, Sheldon, Jellsie, Hardi, Engelbert, Saiful, Suzie, Brisco and Ronn.
It will started at 6 pm and the people are welcomed to enliven the event.

Tambunan District level Kaamatan Festival with a variety of exciting events will be held at Pisompuruan Square here on May 18 and will be officiated by State Infrastructure Development Minister who is also Chairman of the State Level Kaamatan Festival Main Committee, Datuk Peter Anthony.
Among the events held during the festival are volleyball and sepak takraw competitions, Kaamatan carnival, Santai Tug-of-War sports, Sugandoi Kaamatan final and Huminodun Night, Moboros Do Boros Kadazandusun competition, traditional sports competition and the Golf competition.

Lucky draws provide the grand prize of a motorcycle for the category of table and special prize for the category of visitors during the Sugandoi final competition and Huminodun Night.
On May 18 were performances of the local artists, Sugandoi Kaamatan finalist performances, Choir, Somporing, Sumazau dance and Magavau Ceremony performance.
