Imago fixes parking leaks

The management of Imago shopping complex in the city is in the process of fixing all the pipe connections on the ceiling of its car parks to avoid future water leaks.
The latter was recently contacted to comment about a complaint raised by a concerned motorist who apparently noticed a white-coloured water akin to that of an “acid liquid” dripping from the ceiling at a parking space there.

The liquid, however, according to the management, was only a mixture of paint and water that dripped from a pipe leakage.
“We have fixed that spot and several other places on that floor as well but there are quite a few other places that we still need to attend to,” he said.
He advised all its customers to report to its staff on duty should they encounter similar problem at the place where they park their car.
“All they have to do is to provide us the floor and parking lot number so that we can attend to it soon as possible,” he said.

The complainant who parked her car at the multi-storey carpark on May 9, was shocked to find out a round-shaped paint mark on the surface of her car’s front bonnet.
“The stain wasn’t there (on her car bonnet) before I parked my car at that particular space,” said MIKE, who complained on behalf of his wife who was the driver at that time.

He said his wife later discovered that the mark actually originated from a leakage directly on the ceiling where the car was parked.
“She had initially thought they were bird droppings but strangely enough the stain couldn’t be wiped out easily with a piece of tissue,” he added.
He said she later found out that it was not ordinary water that leaked from the ceiling because she noticed the same liquid had burned a hole on the surface of the parking lot.
