The Hilux-lorry collision.
KINABATANGAN: Four people were killed when the Toyota Hilux they were travelling in collided with a 10-tonne lorry carrying oil palm fruit bunches, here, Friday afternoon.According to the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, a distress call on the accident at Kampung Paris 2 was received at 1.47pm.

A voluntary Fire and Rescue team from Kampung Paris 2 reached the location in three minutes to provide assistance until a team from Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station arrived, said the department.
In the accident, all four victims travelling in the four-wheel-drive were pronounced dead at the scene by the medical officer.
Another passenger of the 4WD and the 31-year-old lorry driver escaped unhurt.
The victims comprised two locals identified as Nurdiana Tamsi, 57, and Thambrin Beddu, 59, and an Indonesian, Anita Anwar, 41, while there was no information on another dead victim. The injured victim was identified as Amin Salam Abdul Latip, 31.

The remains of the victims were handed to police for further investigations.
