 RM6m fire station for Nabawan
NABAWAN: A RM6 million fire and rescue station with quarters for officers and personnel will be built next year and expected to be completed in early 2022.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the station on a 1.41-hectare plot was held on Oct 26, officiated by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin.

“The new station will cater to the needs of the local community,” she said, adding that the request to have it built was submitted by Assemblyman Datuk Bobbey Suan many years ago.

On the fire station and rescue station for Kemabong, Zuraida said it is already in the implementation list.

Also present at the ceremony was Nabawan Assemblyman Datuk Bobby A Suan, District Officer Virus Malitam and heads of other fire and rescue stations.
