37 at eateries compounded
Those rounded up during the operation.
PENAMPANG: Thirty-seven people, including two caretakers of premises, were compounded for breaching Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) regulations at two eateries here.

They were rounded up by police during an operation at about 9pm on Saturday.

District Police Chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim (pic) said those detained, comprising 24 men and 11 women, were found to have gathered in the premises and paid no regards to the social distancing guidelines. He said the premises’ caretakers, aged 33 and 61, were detained to facilitate investigations. He reminded the public especially in the district to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the CMCO. He said they will continue to monitor the situation from time to time.
