PENAMPANG: Senator John Ambrose (pic) said it is a blessing in disguise that the proposed construction of a clinic in the district through the efforts of Penampang MP Datuk Darrel Leiking did not materialise because the site picked is flood-prone and there would have been insufficient parking.

“Instead of Warisan Sabah pushing the Class 3 Clinic project, I will suggest to the Senate that what Penampang badly needs is a full-fledged hospital as well as implement the Flood Mitigation project,” he said.

Penampang Bersatu Division Chief was responding to a statement by Darrel’s Political Secretary Pritchard Gumbaris that the clinic  was almost  withdrawn due to delay in approving the development plan by the previous Barisan Nasional administration.
