The landscape team at Rasa Ria Resort in Tuaran have, since its inception in 1996, preserved and maintained its surroundings. One easily notices some old trees still standing mightily across the Resort’s grounds.

Pioneer staff Alfons Olim has been serving the resort for more than two decades and regards it as his second home. He is grateful as are others from Tuaran and the nearby districts for the opportunity. Many livelihoods changed tremendously for the better since the opening, giving them a good life in bringing up their families and learning the importance of taking good care of the nature around them, according to Alfons.
Many have remained faithful employees of the resort which they joined fresh from school. To Alfons caring for the environment is akin to looking after an employee as both have similar functions in society and are assets in an organisation.
