Sabah Immigration to follow decision foreigners with expired social passes must leave by Apr 21
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Immigration will follow its headquarters' decision that foreigners stranded in Malaysia due to the Movement Control Order and whose social visit passes expired in 2020 have until April 21 to leave the country without being fined or detained, said it’s Director Datuk Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin on Tuesday.

Last week, foreigners were left in a daze after they began receiving notice from their foreign missions in Malaysia about the impending end of the grace period.

The email detailed that there is a 14-working day grace period for them to leave after the end of the Movement Control Order on March 31 this year without applying for a special pass or approval from immigration.
