Cash donations for 30 asnaf children

Kota Kinabalu: Some 30 asnaf children (under privilege people) received cash donations from the Sabah Baitulmal Corporation (PBNS).

The donation was presented by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, at the State Level Nuzul Quran Promotion Council 1445H/2024H held at the State Mosque on Wednesday.

Hajiji also performed tarawih prayers with the congregation, led by State Mosque Imam Suhaidi Kuanting.

Among the highlights of the ceremony were the Khatam Al Quran event, attended by educational institutions and mosques around Kota Kinabalu, led by Suhaidi.

The Special Nuzul Quran Tazkirah was delivered by  guest speaker from Indonesia, Derry Sulaiman.

Also present were the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Datuk Dr Arifin Mohd Arif, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Mohamad Hamsan Awang Supain, Chairman of the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS), Datuk Yahya Hussin and PBNS Chairman Datuk Dr Omar Raisul As-Salam Syah Datuk Sulaiman Omar.
