Finally, homes for Sandakan fire victims

SANDAKAN: The government has allocated funds to construct the Hardcore Poor Housing Project (PPRT) for victims of the Kampung Gas fire that occurred in 2018.
Batu Sapi MP, Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, said construction is expected to commence this year.
He said the previous provision was not suitable for the current situation.
“That’s why this project has been put out for tender three times,” Khairul said, adding that based on information from the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS), the project is in the evaluation stage and is about to be awarded to the company that won the tender bid.
