Former State Secretary Datuk KY Mustafa (pic) has been appointed Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Board of Directors Chairman. A statement from the UMS Strategic Management and Corporate Communication Wednesday said the appointment from the Education Ministry is in line with the provision of Section 17(1)(a) UMS Constitution (Chairman) and is for a three-year period, starting from Nov 1, 2018-Oct 31, 2021.
"The UMS community expresses highest congratulation to Datuk K Y Mustafa for his appointment and is confident that, given his vast experiences in the public and corporate sectors, he is capable to steer and accelerate UMS to further excellence at the national and international levels.
"This is apart from realising the UMS agenda to produce future-proof graduates to face the Industry 4.0 Revolution," it said.
