LABUAN: The Government is urged to increase the frequency of the Menumbuk ferry service to the island or set up a new terminal in Membakut to improve ferry services pending realisation of the Labuan bridge project.

“The implementation of the project is far away and the government should give a greater role to the ferry service,” he said.
Wong pointed out that since Labuan is now under the jurisdiction of the Perikatan Nasional Federal Government and Sabah is helmed by a PN ally, it should not be difficult to improve the ferry service for the meantime.
