An oil palm plantation in Tawau: Growers in the district urge the Government to intervene huge FFB price difference.
TAWAU: Upset by “questionable and unfair” Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) pricing by millers, a group of small-and-medium oil palm growers here urged the Government, the Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) to intervene and investigate, if needed.

Pondren Nawa, spokesperson for the oil palm growers, said there was a huge difference in FFB pricing in the Tawau area, by as much as RM100 per metric tonne, compared to other parts of Sabah, even the neighbouring Kalabakan District.
