RANAU: Forty-five residents of Kg Dambalang Marakau and Kg Kituntul Lama, here, held a gotong royong recently to repair the damage to the gravity pipe that supplies more than 200 consumers in the two villages.

Spokesperson of Kg Dambalang Marakau and Kg Kituntul Lama, Clement Bin Umbun, said the gravity pipe catchment located about 4 km from the centre of the village was badly damaged by flood and landslide on the night of January 14 which also affected residents’ housing.

“We thank Ranau Member of Parliament Datuk Jonathan Yasin and Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister cum Paginatan Assemblyman Datuk Abidin Madingkir for providing us gravity pipe equipment,” said Clement when met after the gotong royong.
