A special blessing for SPM students at Stella Maris Church
Kota Kinabalu: The Stella Maris Parish Tanjung Aru conducted a special blessing for SPM students during masses held on Jan 28, Jan 29, Feb 1 and Feb 2. Parish Priest Rev Fr Ambrose Atang and Assistant Priest Rev Fr Peter Abas also conveyed words of encouragement to the students prior to the blessing. Both priests prayed that the Holy Spirit may be with the students throughout the SPM examination, and asked parishioners present to also pray for the candidates.
Meanwhile, in LABUAN, Taman Perumahan Bedaun National Secondary School (SMKTPB) successfully held the Yasin Reading and Premier Prayer Programme (Solat Hajat Perdana) for SPM 2022 candidates at the Nurul Iman Mosque, Kampung Sungai Bedaun on Jan 28. The programme began with the recitation of Yasin led by Nik Fazli Nik Abdul Rajak as the Chief Coordinator of the event, followed by prayers led by Sahrum Samlan. A total of 44 SPM 2022 students also attended with their parents as well as 24 SMKTPB Muslim teachers to make the programme a success.
