China group eyes green energy in Sabah
Kota Kinabalu: State Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship, Phoong Jin Zhe received a courtesy call from the China Energy International Group (CEEC) on Monday.

The meeting discussed how CEEC would be able to play a major role to create greener and renewable energy in Sabah.

“With more foreign investors exploring the potential of investing in Sabah, we would need to ensure we have a consistent and stable power supply,” Phoong said.

He also stressed that it’s time for industries in Sabah to “leap frog” and look into green and renewable energy, such as energy provided through solar, wind and hydro. “Sabah welcomes investors that are interssssested to partner with the state in producing green and renewable energy while empowering the industry,” he Phoong added.
