Johor police probe orgy, call on organisers to cancel event

JOHOR BARU: The Johor police have started investigations and will take action against the organisers of a sex orgy party that is scheduled to be held in the city here next month.
Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said police are warning the organisers of the “Gang Bang JB Party” to cease and cancel the immoral event.

He said that the organisation of such an event is against the law.
“Police have initiated investigations under Section 292 (e) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” said Kamarul Zaman in a statement here today.
Section 292 (e) of the Penal Code deals with the sales, distribution, production and possession of any forms of obscene materials, while Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 deals with the dissemination of such materials on social media.
The state’s top cop was responding to a sex orgy party following the distribution of invitation cards for the event called, “Gang Bang JB Party”, which is scheduled to take place between 4pm and 9pm on June 20.

Checks showed that exclusive event was said to be open to all races and participants are required to be free from disease and drugs. The organisers also listed that pictures or video recordings were prohibited.
Kamarul Zaman said besides the stern warning, police will also conduct continuous monitoring on the event.

“We (police) will come down hard and take action under the law on the organisers.
“Police also called on the public with relevant information to assist by contacting the authorities,” he said.
Earlier, Kamarul Zaman said police detected the “Gang Bang JB Party” poster through Twitter that promoted a free sex party.
Yesterday, the Johor State Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) was instructed to take immediate action on the “Gang Bang JB Party”, which has been making its rounds online.
It was reported that Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid said the state government condemns the organisation of the event that openly invites people to commit immoral acts.
He warned individuals and groups to refrain from using the state for such obscene activities.
