PENAMPANG: Upko president Datuk Ewon Benedick suggested that the State Government submit a “letter of demand” related to the repayment of 40 per cent of federal revenue collected in Sabah to the Federal Government.
“I believe no Sabah Government has ever submitted its claims officially to the Federal Government on the repayment,” he told a press conference, here, Monday.

“Perhaps the claims were made on media or in speeches at the Parliament or the State Legislative Assembly – we sought payments, but has the State Government submitted an official claim?”
Ewon also said the letter should include the amount sought including arrears.
