Magunatip lion dance for a change
A lion dancer performing the Magunatip dance at Tanjung Aru Plaza building, recently.
Kota Kinabalu: A seafood restaurant co-owner in Tanjung Aru Plaza decided to add a twist to the lion dance by incorporating traditional ethic group dance elements of Sabah.

Ken Oliver and his wife Cristina Petrus came up with the idea t of the lion dance performing a remix of traditional dances of Sabah particularly the Magunatip dance of the Murut.

“The lion dancers amazingly did the Magunatip dance and showed their skills in stepping between the bamboo sticks that were moved to the rhythm of the gong.
