KOTA KINABALU: A social media user shared an amusing story about his sister's flight mix-up from Sandakan to Kuala Lumpur on April 15 for her studies.

Mohd Hisham Romel, the Facebook user, explained that his sister missed her flight, scheduled at 1.15am, because she did not realise the time on the boarding pass was in a 24-hour format.

Hisham claimed that his sister was not the only one who missed the flight – many others did too. He advised everyone to plan their departure time carefully.

The post sparked different reactions from netizens. Some blamed his sister's carelessness and suggested she be more alert next time.

The post has gathered 1,800 likes, 2,200 comments, and 3,600 shares on Facebook at press time.
