Is Sabah suitable for Dark Tourism?

WHEN it comes to tourism in Sabah, it’s widely acknowledged that the state boasts an abundance of natural wonders, from the majestic Mount Kinabalu to its pristine beaches, vibrant flora and fauna thriving in tropical rainforests, and a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions.

However, amidst the allure of these natural treasures lies a lesser known yet equally captivating facet of tourism: Dark Tourism. 

But what exactly is dark tourism? Many may be unfamiliar with the term or have misconceptions, associating it solely with horror or ghost-related experiences.

However, dark tourism encompasses much more than that. It involves visiting places with connections to death and tragedy.
